About PETS.
Great Lakes Rotary PETS strives to provide the best leadership training possible to benefit president-elects, president nominees and their Rotary clubs.
Great Lakes Rotary PETS - Seven Districts Strong.Great Lakes Rotary President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is one of the largest multi-district PETS in the United States. It was formed with a view to becoming a premier training event with the atmosphere of a mini Rotary International Convention by leveraging the expertise of seven Rotary Districts with clubs in Michigan Indiana, and Ontario.
Every year there is a new Rotary theme, new District leaders, and new leadership in Rotary International. Come meet the leaders and learn the new emphases and projects that your Club will be part of in the coming year! This year’s keynote speakers will inform and reinforce our program and our conversations, inviting us all to consider concepts like “thinking out of the box”; becoming a change agent; leading your Rotary club to be more project-oriented; collaboration and flexibility. In addition, attendees benefit from informal peer-to-peer discussions and interactions in a friendly, collegial atmosphere, especially at mealtimes. Clubs that send both their President Elect and President Nominee have more successful years. Both the PE and PN receive specific information that will help them in their new roles as they progress through the leadership succession process. We believe this provides a continuity of leadership year-after-year. Attendees leave PETS feeling “fired up” and eager to begin the amazing year ahead serving as leaders of action in their clubs. |
